What I know...

What I know is that it is March 29th. Where has the month disappeared to? What I know is that last week we played in the sun and we came home to Oregon and it is raining. No, make that storming. All the wind and the buckets of rain that came down today. Yikes! What I know is that I took over 800 pictures last week. Of what? My husband wanted pictures of every piece of terrain between Newberg and Phoenix and back. What I know is that things are getting back to normal. Steve off to work, the kids off to school and me left to pick up the trail left by my slugs. What I know is that the cat missed her family. Libby is so snuggly, it's ridiculous. As a result we are all wearing sooooo many cat hairs. What I know is that 4 a.m. comes pretty quickly and I am ready for bed. I hope I watch 24 and it doesn't watch me.

concert night

It appears that tonights concert was a real sleeper. It was long and Sydney was last. That's how it goes. The orchestra is always worth waiting for...sad it's Sydney's senior year. Thanks all the concerts Syd. We have enjoyed every one.

I can play baseball in the dark!

............................ I don't know if you can see Jordan's face real well or not but to me it looks like his eyes are closed...he caught it and that's all that matters!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Got your green on? Sydney and I wore green today but I don't think the boys did. Bet they were hoping to get pinched. Hope that worked out for them. 2nd baseball game today...15-2! Yay, another win. Gotta like that. The boys were able to hit, hit, hit and had a little help from the wind. It was sunny and so beautiful but a tad on the chilly side. Hope we get a bit warmer weather next week in Arizona.

How many more day?

Five. Count 'em...Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday! Okay, maybe four. We are leaving bright and early Saturday morning and headed for San Jose to see Aunt Sandy and Pat. If we are lucky, Joyce too! Our first stop on the way to Arizona. We are ready for a change of scenery and hopefully some warmer weather when we get to Phoenix. Shorts, check. Sunglasses, check. Sunscreen, check! We are ready to watch some baseball too. Let's go, yay!

It's that time again!

JV and Varsity boys won tonight against West Salem. Fun to win first game. The boys looked good, can't wait until Wednesday!

reconnecting

...oldest friend I have, since we were little
...troll dolls(besides her Sally doll, the only dolls she would play with)
...rollerskates, the kind you buckle onto your shoes
...battling tops
...playing in the woods
...summers in Seaside
...walking to school
...riding bikes
...crawdad races
Too many memories too count. She taught me how to mow the lawn. Taught me how to play chess. Oh my goodness. Had a long lunch today and we are always able to pick up right where we left off. Love my friend!

What a cutie!

Max! We love him and his krinkled nose.

found item

Hail to the king! Yay, Steve found my lost fuzzy green socks! Although he found 'em, I think he was the one who hid 'em from me. He did find them in drawer we share. Hmm. Some flaws in his story! Just gonna sit back and enjoy hanging out in my green fuzzy socks today.

Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday to you,
happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday dear Lisa,
happy birthday to you!
Many returns to March 12th too. I would have a cake with 50 bright, beautiful burning candles but I think the fire department has enough work as it is. Shall we celebrate with one?

and so it ends

Jesuit 74, Newberg 36. No, not one of their finer moments yesterday but they put on a show today. Played McKay today and lost but fought them to the end. So ends another season of basketball. So ends Kendahl's high school cheering.

Hoops!

It's hoops at the Rose Garden today. Very excited to see the boys bring their game and faceoff Jesuit. Playing the number 1 team first?! Why do anything the easy way. And when we pull it off just think about the bragging. Hah. Why just watch the basketball...there are at least 2 very cute cheerleaders watch too. Win or lose we get another game tomorrow. More basketball. More cheer. And let's not forget the student force cheering them on...NHS' Blue Army. Just as much fun to watch the kids stand behind their team! Go Newberg!

Happy Birthday to the "Birthday Boy!"

This post is all about you and just for you. It's your day...why didn't you take the day off to celebrate YOU? Well, with breakfast being your favorite meal we will do "breakfast" for dinner just as you requested. Yum. You will get to do your favorite thing: baseball. Those boys don't even know the gift they are giving you. And hopefully, the weather will hold. I think the sunny sky I am looking at may stick around. I know, that's hours from now. The little voice in my head says "tut tut, it looks like rain." And who knows maybe your daughter will come through with a cup of coffee. Pair that coffee with your present from Hannah and you are set. I love you!

It's all because of the baseball

One of my coffee fairies is failing me...coffee is the answer, not BASEBALL. We rise early at this house and even earlier to accomodate baseball. This programable coffeemaker my fairy just had to have must be broken. Kinda like the icemaker...broken! "Mommy's world" is falling apart. Eeek!

So Strange

I read on my daughter's blog the other day that I am "strange." Wasn't really what I was going for when I took up parenthood but I am sure she has thought worse. She better be careful what she says because I just might try to live up to "strange." I'm sure she doesn't want that.

I BELIEVE THAT WE HAVE WON!

The Newberg boys pulled off another win and sent their "white" Blue Army into their chant of "I believe that we have won." The school spirit seems contagious as they have organized a "blue out," a "black out" and last night, a "white out." The team moves on and their next stop is the Rose Garden. We have been attending the games to show support of the team and to our cheerleaders. Each game hoping we will get to see Kendahl and Ellie cheer one more game this year. Now they will get to cheer in a really big arena. Whoo hoo! Sydney is glad that her senior year is an eventful one and looks forward to riding the "route-r" bus. You are a funny BG.

Tah da!

Look at what Kendahl did today...tah da! What cute belly button she has and now some bling to show it off. She is showing off her new belly to Grandma and Grandpa right now and I am waiting to hear their reaction. It will be good news if she comes back alive to tell her story. Lol. So cute.

more

Okay, boys won! Whoo hoo! Great effort by all. They play again Saturday and if they win again it's on to the Rose Garden. That would be great.

The weekend is already here and I haven't even got to tell about last weekend. I had a fabulous day with my daughter and my sister. Dear John, lunch and good laughs(the usual). A must do again. And then on Sunday, we all got to meet Miss Alexis! Such a good baby. It wasn't so much a baby holding day as it was a baby sharing day. That's okay because I like to look at her! I don't think you can get enough of her...forever isn't enough! I do appreciate her momma and her daddy giving everyone some time to ooh and ahh over her. And the grandparents who stepped aside for everyone to hold her. When I am a gramma...others can admire my babies from my arms! Lol.

update

Thought it was about time to welcome March...I think too many days went by last month without a word. And it wasn't due to a lack of things going on. My goodness where do I start? Let's start with today and work back...today was late start Wednesday. Breakfast is a must on Wednesdays and this morning I realized Libby enjoys Wednesday breakfast as much as anyone. Theresa and Taylor like giving her treats as much as she likes accepting them. Most days we don't think about treating her until Orange Kitty appears.

Kindra Fish and Mackenzie Wolfe organized a Blood Drive at the HS for their Senior Project and I spent some of today helping them check students in. Wow, great job and great support from their peers on coming in to help and give blood. Amazing to me that so many wanted to support this need and we turned people away. And what is a Blood Drive without a little drama...a few who feel faint and turned that wonderful shade of "white."

Tonight is the first playoff game for the boys basketball team. We will go cheer them on...hopefully to victory. The girls who also made playoff lost last night and sadly their season is over. We look forward to next year ladies! Tigers Rule!
