Happy Birthday to the "Birthday Boy!"

This post is all about you and just for you. It's your day...why didn't you take the day off to celebrate YOU? Well, with breakfast being your favorite meal we will do "breakfast" for dinner just as you requested. Yum. You will get to do your favorite thing: baseball. Those boys don't even know the gift they are giving you. And hopefully, the weather will hold. I think the sunny sky I am looking at may stick around. I know, that's hours from now. The little voice in my head says "tut tut, it looks like rain." And who knows maybe your daughter will come through with a cup of coffee. Pair that coffee with your present from Hannah and you are set. I love you!

It's all because of the baseball

One of my coffee fairies is failing me...coffee is the answer, not BASEBALL. We rise early at this house and even earlier to accomodate baseball. This programable coffeemaker my fairy just had to have must be broken. Kinda like the icemaker...broken! "Mommy's world" is falling apart. Eeek!

So Strange

I read on my daughter's blog the other day that I am "strange." Wasn't really what I was going for when I took up parenthood but I am sure she has thought worse. She better be careful what she says because I just might try to live up to "strange." I'm sure she doesn't want that.

I BELIEVE THAT WE HAVE WON!

The Newberg boys pulled off another win and sent their "white" Blue Army into their chant of "I believe that we have won." The school spirit seems contagious as they have organized a "blue out," a "black out" and last night, a "white out." The team moves on and their next stop is the Rose Garden. We have been attending the games to show support of the team and to our cheerleaders. Each game hoping we will get to see Kendahl and Ellie cheer one more game this year. Now they will get to cheer in a really big arena. Whoo hoo! Sydney is glad that her senior year is an eventful one and looks forward to riding the "route-r" bus. You are a funny BG.

Tah da!

Look at what Kendahl did today...tah da! What cute belly button she has and now some bling to show it off. She is showing off her new belly to Grandma and Grandpa right now and I am waiting to hear their reaction. It will be good news if she comes back alive to tell her story. Lol. So cute.

more

Okay, boys won! Whoo hoo! Great effort by all. They play again Saturday and if they win again it's on to the Rose Garden. That would be great.

The weekend is already here and I haven't even got to tell about last weekend. I had a fabulous day with my daughter and my sister. Dear John, lunch and good laughs(the usual). A must do again. And then on Sunday, we all got to meet Miss Alexis! Such a good baby. It wasn't so much a baby holding day as it was a baby sharing day. That's okay because I like to look at her! I don't think you can get enough of her...forever isn't enough! I do appreciate her momma and her daddy giving everyone some time to ooh and ahh over her. And the grandparents who stepped aside for everyone to hold her. When I am a gramma...others can admire my babies from my arms! Lol.

update

Thought it was about time to welcome March...I think too many days went by last month without a word. And it wasn't due to a lack of things going on. My goodness where do I start? Let's start with today and work back...today was late start Wednesday. Breakfast is a must on Wednesdays and this morning I realized Libby enjoys Wednesday breakfast as much as anyone. Theresa and Taylor like giving her treats as much as she likes accepting them. Most days we don't think about treating her until Orange Kitty appears.

Kindra Fish and Mackenzie Wolfe organized a Blood Drive at the HS for their Senior Project and I spent some of today helping them check students in. Wow, great job and great support from their peers on coming in to help and give blood. Amazing to me that so many wanted to support this need and we turned people away. And what is a Blood Drive without a little drama...a few who feel faint and turned that wonderful shade of "white."

Tonight is the first playoff game for the boys basketball team. We will go cheer them on...hopefully to victory. The girls who also made playoff lost last night and sadly their season is over. We look forward to next year ladies! Tigers Rule!
